Thyroglobulin (TG)

Thyroglobulin (TG) is a heterogeneous iodoglycoprotein that is normally synthesized in the follicular cells of the thyroid gland, under the influence of thyrotropin, and represents the precursor to thyroxine and the other iodothyronines.
