Chromogranin-A (CgA)
Chromogranin-A (CgA) is a member of the chromogranin/secretogranin family of neuroendocrine secretory proteins. Chromogranin A is produced by the adrenal medulla, enterochromaffin-like cells and beta cells of the pancreas. It is elevated in pheochromocytoma and diabetes as well as being used as an indicator for pancreas and prostate cancer.
