Hepatocyte Growth Factor receptor (HGF receptor)

Hepatocyte Growth Factor receptor (HGF receptor; soluble c-Met) is the cleaved extracellular domain of c-Met, a receptor essential for embryonic development and wound healing. The abnormal activation of c-Met in cancer cells triggers tumor growth, angiogenesis, and metastasis.
