Interleukin-11 (IL-11)

Interleukin-11 (IL-11) is a cytokine, originating from bone marrow stroma and belonging to the IL-6 superfamily. IL-11 roles include the stimulation of B cells and megakaryocytes, modulation of antigen-antibody response, regulation of bone cell proliferation and differentiation, and induction of acute phase proteins. IL-11 may also be therapeutic to those suffering from osteoporosis.
